[ANSWERED] Performace differences between paintjobs of the same car?

Some guy in another forum keeps insisting that the same car with a different paintjob has a different performance level (due to a different tire manufacturer?). Track, weather, temperature, setup and other conditions are equal - he claims that the car with another paintjob is +1 second slower. Please tell me this is complete Hokum? WMD anyone?

This is BS. If it is really the same car, then the paintjob will do nothing in terms of speed. The only ones which are different physics wise, are the Le Mans versions and the Indycar Oval/non-oval versions of a car. Note: the 24h versions of the Porsche GT3R for example are clones of the non 24h ones and completely identical in regard to speed and handling. Every speed difference comes either down to setup or the placebo effect.

Liveries are only a visual difference. There no performance change depending on livery choice.
Even if one car has for example Dunlop tires and the other livery shows Hankook tires the car will perform exactly the same because "under the hood" the same tire model is used.
