I had a Displayport to HDMI cable for the TV that was doing 4k but that failed the other day and now only have an adaptor that goes to 1080p for the TV and I use the HDMI out from the graphics card for VR .
When I was using the DP to HDMI cable for the TV I always had issues getting the TV to receive the signal and had to cycle the power button a few times to get an image .
Has anyone got a good working solution ? If so , gotta link to whatever you use ?
I don't follow... What options are on the card (you only say it has one HDMI)? What options are on the TV? What do you mean by "...and adaptor that goes to 1080p for the TV..."?

My 1080Ti has 1 HDMI slot and 3 Dp slots .
TV has 5 HDMI slots .
I had a cable for Graphics card to TV that was DP to HDMI and it did 4k 60 but it does , so now I have bought 3 different DP to HDMI adapters but all them will only output 1080p 60 .
Im hoping someone has a solution for either DP to HDMI adapters or cable for Rift resolution or TV for 4k 60 .

Ah, ok I think I understand now. I use the connections the other way round to you.

I mainly use the 4K TV, so this uses the HDMI connection. I do have a Rift, which uses a DP to HDMI converter, but I cannot get on with VR... at the moment anyway.

Maybe try it this way round... not sure if it makes a difference.

Can you link the exact adapter you use for the Rift as the ones i've used only display a black screen for the Rift or only do 1080p on the 4k TV

It was just a generic DP to HDMI port cable (HDHDPORT-005CAB). I'm at work at the moment, but I'll double check the Rift does still work... as I said I use the 4K TV as my main screen.

It might also be worth checking the rating of your HDMI cables too. For 4K you should be looking at High Speed rated cables.

    Where abouts are you located?

All 4k works fine when using direct cables , they are all good High Speed cables , no problem there . Even the cheaper DP to HDMI cable worked well when it worked after i power cycled the TV a few times , but it just up and died the other night , hence my endeavour to find what everyone else was using after trying numerous DP to HDMI adapters for both 4k TV (stuck at 1080p) and Rift (only displayed black screens) while using those same High Speed HDMI cables through those adapters .

But yes please check that your Rift works with that adapter thanks as that cable only specs HDMI v1.3b at full 1080p resolution and DP v1.1 .

Just tried my setup, with the Rift connected via a DP to HDMI cable, and PC2 loads to the main menu. I didn’t have time to fire up a quick race, but I can later if you are also able to get to the menu and your issues are after that stage... but it didn’t seem that way from your posts.

Let me know if you want me to check anything else.
