I did check out another track, Zhuhai. The results were the same. The 3 MDs battling out in front and a huge gap back to 4th. I don't know if it's just Custom race where the AI are so out of balance or if Career may be better or worse.
I was DQed for avoiding a massive wreck by cutting through the corner.

Hi Blink, I was just wondering if you could find me a more recent Aston Martin Vantage GTE setup for an endurance race at Silverstone Gp please? Cheers in advance.

Hi Hindz, I haven't run Silverstone GP(Oops, ran the 320 TC on 10?17 for some reason) or used the AM other than Silverstone National, Tri-Oval before. I used Gianetta's setup but changed Engine Braking to 10, this is the only change other than clutches to 4. I used AI at 80/60. Set up a Custom Race at Default date. First, the AI at these settings are very bad. Starting from the 17th position it takes a while to get through them meanwhile the lead cars get a breakaway. The better places to pass are at the slow corners like Luffeild and the Chicane. I only ran 4 laps but I quickly caught up with 3/4 and could probably pass them if I'd set a longer duration race on lap 5/6. In a 10 lap race 1st could be in reach at these AI settings since I was beginning to pick up pace with a clearer track.
At 85/75 on a different track I was able to pass all the cars using a C.7.R. The issue with Silverstone is the way the AI bunch up at the first few slow corners. http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sho...=1#post1558504
Why would you jam on brakes already in corner on the curb?? Lap 4.
Killed my momentum, start finish final lap.
Had to be aggressive at start, 3 wide banging around a bit, no damage, the AI takes bad lines through most slow corners.
Huge slow train heading toward Braddocks.
Luffeild they take the wide line, inside you can take a few at a time.
Carrying the right front wheel through Copse and other rights, saves tire wear.I don't know if your car does this but my inside tire is off the ground a lot. The AI are planted, level.
Appologies if you already know all this.
The AM does clean itself off. One lap it's a filthy mess.
Next lap same corner, showroom wax job.
Ok so I tried AI 100/100. First couple of attempts completely wrecked out, thanks. Finally managed to avoid the bombers and worked my way up.
At Copse this happened.
This what I saw when I went through the smoke cloud, stopped Ferrari.
Thanks! Can you tell I am bored?Damage needs to be off for these clowns. I couldn't catch the leaders though since they are running 1:57s/58s!
Ran Zhuhai 80/75, managed to take 1st on the first lap but the AM appears to be slower than the other cars, I had to block the 2nd place Corvette every lap and the only reason for getting 1st was the bad cornering of the AI.
Changed 6th to 1.059 went faster, of course without changing AI they went faster too but at least I had enough top end to put distance on them on the straights without having to block them.
Ok, made some more changes, this time the AI are not keeping pace.
Ok, back to Silverstone. Made some changes to Dangerous' setup. I can run as fast as AI now at 80/60. Still lifts the inside front more than I think a real car would but on the plus side the steering is less affected while riding the curbs.

Hey man. Got an Indy 500 qualifying this weekend. Please may I have a setup for the IndyCar at the Indianapolis oval?

Many thanks Blink. My main issues have been with tyre temps and tyre wear, when the track temp drops. I agree that the Aston seems to roll quite a lot and the AI stay nice and level. More long runs with cold track temps are in order I think. Cheers yet again.
