    Missing features?

Was chatting last night about all things PCars and it came up about flat spotting, drying line and track marbling, none of these I have actually seen, has anyone actually experienced any of these I mean in AMS if you got a bad flat spot the wheel would go crazy and shake, you definitely knew you had a flat spot.

Also with longer races we have done with rain when the weather transitions to dry back to wet the track does dry but not on the racing line I would expect to see wheel tracks of the dry line, same with the marbling the outside of the track should be littered with rubber but I don't see it?

    Anyone got any thoughts?

Drying line... Some tracks seem to show it better than others:

Flat-spotting is heat related only. That was a decision SMS made as their model does support it (and it was in the WMD builds at one time).

That's hardly really visible and the track looks fairly dry looks more like a rubbered line, I was thinking more like this in F1 2017.

I have never seen the marbles though, think someone did a test and the track looked the same after quite a few laps of an oval?

Looks cool, but that's not how it really works.

I don't believe there is dynamic marble build up since PC2 allows very long races (and it would be a performance issue).

Well this video clearly shows the drying line on Brands and it looks a lot like F1 2017 but I never see it that prominently, also talks about dirt and debris getting pulled on track but I don't see that either?

Maybe I'm off track more than you, but I definitely see sand on the track after I or an AI car rejoins track after a quick picnic on the beach. This is offline btw. Drying line also clearly visible offline, but I've heard that it rarely shows online.

Interesting, I have never done any offline races, it definitely doesn't show for me online.

The dirt and debris happen but the graphic effect isn't shown much (performance reasons). The physics underneath have it. It did show a lot during pre-release but it was toned down.

The drying line depends on the race length. The Brands Hatch photo I showed went through the same transition you see in the video. I just took the photo at the point where it's easiest to see. Some tracks it's easier to see and others the track surface color it's very hard to see. Sugo is another where you can see it decently.

Long Beach was another were you can see it (and with Long Beach, you have the little puddles still off the sides at places).

In short, yes there is a "dynamic" drying line.

Again that track looks nearly dry if not already dry, when you watch real life races in heavy rain the cars wet tyres disperse that much water that it literally sucks the line dry, I see it in my daily driving in my own car, it is just not very clear if at all that it happens and if it does it should be clear on every wet track shouldn't it not a select few where it is faintly visible.

We did a long race on Sakitto where there were puddles formed and when I was on someones bumper I would expect them to 'plough' the puddle creating less of a puddle for me right behind them but the puddle is just as deep, the water flies up but does not disperse?
