and you need to be Vive user currently, as they haven't finished their tracking and input devices yet.

That thing w/o tracking will be useless.

I think a video card than can push the pixels still needs to be invented too? -Or a one-card-per-eye approach needs to be developed.

Otherwise, I would expect it to make the most spectacular slide-shows we have ever seen.

If it performs Well When Micro Center or Best Buy get it i will get 1.... but if it performs worse than Oculus rift and cant Hold 90FPS then whats the use of upgrading.

its OpenVR via SteamVR, it has more resolution than Rift CV1, so it will definitelly render slower.
I assume under 1080ti there will be no fun using it. Maybe we'll have to wait for a 3080ti

What resolution do you render when using SteamVR supersampling on your CV1 ? Doesn't the 5k+ render at 1440p ?

These Pimax HMD's have 3 different FOV's , 120 , 150 and 170 horizontal degrees , do they just cut the amount of pixels being drawn as the FOV decreases or are those pixels being compressed into the lower FOV ?

Im still a bit confused by how these will perform in comparison to current HMD's like Odyssey and Vive Pro as they have similar resolutions but just stretched over wider FOV ?

i really dont know how they render, in case of real pixels there is a big difference.

    Native resulution:
    Pimax5k+ 2560 x 2160 per eye
    Vive pro 1440 x 1600 per eye

    Time will tell
