My Logitech G29 makes a high pitched whining noise whenever I turn it

I have a logitech g29 and I currently use it to play PCars 2. Every time I turn the wheel quickly or if it moves quickly it makes a strange high pitched noise. And this isn't force feedback either, so is this just normal or is this a problem mechanically.

Unfortunately, it's normal for the G29.

Yes. Gets better after a few hours if yours is new.

I never had a noticeable high pitched noise even when I bought mine new, although like @Mahjik says, the G29 is quite noisy, although i don't identify it as a high-pitched rather the sound of a rubber belt and motor being pulled really quickly.

Few things I would suggest that worked for me.

I think don't take it back until you have tested it using wheelchecker. I strongly doubt it is faulty, but still possible
    2. Turn up the volume on your speakers that way the sound of the tyres will overpower the sound of the belt. ( ) or just use noise cancelling headphones.
    3. Try Jackspade sopp diff custom FFB settings http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sho...stom-FFB-Files

But seriously, its probably not broken its just noisy as heck - especially over curbs or into walls so I always avoid those so I dont wake the kids.

now that i think about it it is like a low-pitched-zipping-noise rather than high pitched.
