    Building a gaming PC

I would like to build a PC for purely Sim racing , Spec wise I just want something that will run a single screen with the option of VR in the future and be able to produce the graphics of my Xbox one X as I think that looks good enough. I know in VR this will take a hit but in single screen mode thatís the quality Iím after.

So if someone can point me in the direction of good sites in the uk for buying parts or offer up any specs which I should aim for please do , my knowledge isnít great but Iím willing to learn.

PC2 , AC , ACC and Rfactor are the games that interest me most, budget wise well Iíd like to do it for as little as possible obviously so Iím looking at this side of a grand if possible.

Atm you have Intel for CPU and nVidia for GPU , anything else will be second choice! 16Gb of the fastest memory 3200MHz minimum .
There will always be new stuff coming , all you can do is buy the best you can afford on the day , if you think something will be coming next week it would be worth the wait but if it's in 3 months don't worry about it because there will always be something new !
RTX 2080, i7 8700k would be a great choice, or one step down would be the lowest id say but the Ti would be preferable
I just sold my Rift (VR) mainly because i was over the lower resolution and the constant compromise on settings ! back at 4k its just crank everything to max and forget about it ! VR will be huge if and when PC power has a big performance leap and we can have much higher resolution !

Scan are pretty good for parts.

Where are you in the UK? If you go "in store" you can sometimes get a discount too, especially when buying "lots" of stuff.

Staff exhibit typical northern friendliness and are very knowledgeable too.

AMD is hardly a "second choice" nowadays.

For pure gaming they still are, but hopefully their next line will change that.
