Because it sounds like some sort of bug is messing with the OP's expectations? I'll note that the OP states "the engine sounds 'off'", which might imply TC kicking in?

OP: If you can, try setting up PC2 such that you are able to toggle TC (SC) on and off. If you experience the behaviour you describe using your dry set up on a wet track, toggle the TC / SC to see if that brings the behaviour in line with what you are expecting?
Well the car doesn't come with TC, ABS or SC so if he has those set Full in his settings he is in for problems. If he has SC set for Authentic he has chance with your suggestions.

If he wants TC and ABS from settings he can set them off in the tuning menu to see if that improves things.

As cpcdem describes earlier, using Default and only changing the TC and ABS as I described. Also agree car may have too much grip in rain but I don't drive a real F 3.5 so...Car is well planted but at low revs I can induce spin.

This is sloppysmusic description of the rain event.
    "Race 6/7 Hockenheim National - 10 Laps

Rain in all sessions. I struggled to get a time at all in top 10 during qualifying so ended up deflating my tires to 10.15 (the lower limit) and eventually got 4th. It may have been the placebo affect though of changing something. They were back to 14.07 for the race. This track in the wet feels nothing like Silverstone previously in the series. There we blasted round the circuit full throttle, just taking care to keep the power on. Here with several tight bends and hairpins it only takes a moment of no power between heavy braking and turning and then...we are spinning. Once you lose grip you wont get it back easy. Straighten up and accelerate slowly until you are up to speed. The whole time you feel you are like the front end is on ice, where the harder you push the better the grip, the less you push the worse it is. Oh well, once you get the hang of it the race is easy. Just drive round lapping carefully and the win is yours. The AI can't drive at all in the rain DURING THE RACE....during qualifying they are not nerfed at all so you need to fight to get a good position on the grid. Or just come from the back on the grid. I passed 3 ahead of me by the first easy bend. They really are THAT useless now in the wet.
Oh and BTW after ten laps in the rain your tires show 40% wear for the record."

"The whole time you feel you are like the front end is on ice, where the harder you push the better the grip, the less you push the worse it is." This sentence might be what the OP is describing as understeer on corner entry and going off track, no grip.

    Bikes wrecked-77 Suzuki RM125, 78 Honda Elsinore 250, 81 Honda CB900F, 2000 Kawsaki ZX12R(2), 2001 Honda F4I, 2005 Yamaha R1. A bike hasn't been made I couldn't wreck, spectacularly, but I'm retired now.

I think it means something like "thanked". I will try my best to keep it in English as well. Although sometimes that could be dangerous. It might be better if I used indecipherable symbols instead.
