Low FPS - Followed VR Setup Guide

Hi, I recently picked up a VR headset and though it runs smooth in other games, it seems that it runs really bad in Project Cars 2. My FPS according to the Oculus Tray Tool states im getting about a solid 30 FPS while in race. I do think it is my computer because I followed the setup guide here on the forums and used 1.2 for supersampling. What does everyone recommend I upgrade or are their some other settings I should change? Specs below

    i5-6500 at 3.2 GHz
    8 GB RAM DDR4 2133
    Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 w/ 2GB VRAM
500 GB HD (Should I be running this game off an SSD?)
2 Fans (Water cooling make a difference?)

your GPU is very low end, minimum is a 970 -> upgrade to 1070 or 1080 minimum
    16GB RAM is better
Yes, install pCARS2 on a SSD
Every car could be a race car, as long as you have the balls to drive it like that !

1.2 super sampling.. you only have a 2G VRAM card... it will probably be exceeding that before any type of AA is applied.
CPU is only quad core.. not great either (PC2 is very CPU heavy even before trying to go VR)

basically what you have is on a par with what I have sitting under my TV and I wouldn't even attempt to use that for VR

At the very least, upgrade your GPU to a GTX1070. You're current setup is not powerful enough for the minimum PCars2 VR requirements.
    What line?
PC: Ryzen7 2700x, RTX 2080 Ti, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD HD, Oculus Rift and Vive Pro
