    Now, in PC2 we have a DS, but its a CMD program where you have to program everything with text & lua files and flags. It results a bit complicated to get what you want. A DS app with his own interface and non Steam dependency, would be a big step forward, specially for online comunities.
    I like to believe it's not only that, but it will also remove the dependency to Steam. As you know, a small hiccup of Steam destroys all PCARS2 multiplayer races, even if they have already started. Last week again we had a nice streamed league race, but Steam had some instability in the Western Europe region, so at some point halfway through the race 17 of 20 drivers (and the director) got disconnected, only 3 of us left because we live in areas unaffected from that Steam hiccup. Same thing happens very often with every league, including the previous AOR league which was plagued with such disconnections. I am so very much hoping that the new tool will take car of that in both AMS2 and PCARSR.

    Yeah, I hope they have the same sort of DS that AMS had where you can IP connect to the DS and take Steam out of the equation all together, the AMS servers we ran were rock solid and don't suffer the issues of PC2's hybrid servers, this is good news for league racing.

    Why reinvent the wheel... I'd guess the pit crew models/animations was part of the deal on the Madness License. I know they definately have other Project CARS assets they are reusing
