I've always felt the AI pace is inconsistent between quali and race. I finally remembered to actually pay attention and sure enough, the AI was lapping almost 2 seconds faster during the race than it ran in quali.

I would expect the quali pace to faster. Quali is run with lower fuel, closed ducts, and the softest compounds available to get the quickest time. Why would a car be 2 seconds faster on the first few laps of a race, when they are loaded with fuel and ducts opened for race stints?

Does that make sense to you?

As far as I know, you have to remap it to up and down shifting. I don't remember seeing a different mapping for sequential. Could be wrong. I haven't looked in quite some time.

I have mapped the sequential shifter to be the same as the flippers in the Fanatec driver settings.

Yep. That's the easiest solution if you have a Fanatec wheel. One of the things I do miss.
