    Brake temperature and lock of wheels

    Hi,

    I've got a quite strange problem after some laps with some cars (indycars in oval, some gt3 or old prototypes). Basically, even if brake temperatures seems ok (2-300C) and ducts are open (100%), the brake temperature (mainly the front) start to rise during acceleration, and the car begin slow down (it seems that the wheels are locked). No way to reduce temperature after this event... the car is slow for tens of seconds, I need to just stop the car. This problem also occour in indycars/oval: even if temperature is low (about 150C), just a sideslip can mess the race due to this problem. Never happen with LMP1/LMP2 (the most used cars by me).

    Reduce brake pressure. GT3/E, vintage and indy cars have steel brakes. Their operating range is from cold up to ~650c when the brakes lose power. At 100% brake pressure, the brakes have more power than the tyres have grip. So the tyres will slide at full brake.

    I set brake pressure at 50%. Temp did not rise too much, but I still have problem at 270-300C (porsche 911 gtr): temp rise during acceleration and speed decrease... to stay below 250 C, I have to coasting instead of breaking, is it normal?

    Yes.
    Stay below 650c is fine. 250c is too low.
