How to avoid bad driver rating and still crash into 1 person on purpose?

I know that title will make people's blood boil. Sorry but sometimes I think I'm more clever that I really am... I know. Please don't murder me until you hear me out. I have a best friend of 30ish years and he likes to just crash into each other like a 10 year old and I entertain his behavior if it's just the 2 of us. If other people are involved I strictly will not even crash into him even if he's crashing into me. I try to just race but often it's unavoidable. If he gets banned or a bad rating that's his problem, which has happened in a flight sim we play. There's no changing him and he's a good friend and completely normal person IRL so nothing I can do. But I also like to race without him involved and be a serious good-guy driver. Is there a way to avoid a bad rating or am I screwed?

And no I'm not trying to just crash people and made-up that story so I can pull some evil shit. I'm 50+ years old and have better things to do with my life than grieve people. Sadly my buddy doesn't.

The safety rating is pretty much a representation of how often your car tries to occupy the same space as other solid objects.

The more your car does this (in races where the safety rating is turned on), the lower your rating will be.

Not sure if I get what you mean.... So you want to race and crash with him, and also race with other people and keep good safety rating, right? I think you could create a second Steam account, "share" the game with other account (so you don't have to buy another copy). Then use one account to play bumper cars with him (hopefully with no other people around) and another one for proper clean racing.

Ah!!! So this implies I can create a race with it turned off. I will look into how to do that. Thanks!

    Correct. As Twinz said.
You could create lobby and play with him with the rating off.
If the rating is on and you wanna race (and your mate insists on ruining it), on average your rating will keep increasing because you're avoiding wrecks more often than not. Slowly but surely you'll get there.
