    Need help getting started with PC and G27 wheel

    I have spent over 1.5 hours trying to get a car to go straight down the track in PC2 with no success. The steering wheel has no resistance and vehicle drifts back and forth across track. Wheel movement does not correspond to steering on track until turned 1. Brake action is muted until pedal is pushed 100% and tires lock up. Car does not feel planted to the track. It feels like driving the skid car at a driving school. Paddle shifts are too slow.

    I've played Raceroom Racing Experience for 18 months. So I know G27 wheel/petals/shifter are working. In R3E the cars are drivable with the default setup. At least you can learn the track layouts. Then you can adjust the settings to be more competitive.

    I chose Road America to test in PC2 because I know the layout. So I don't believe the spins are due to being a newbie sim racer.

    What do I need to do to start playing this game and having fun?
    Before the admin tells me to stop typing and start reading, note that there are thousands of posts on setup and FFB. I have searched Forums but nothing I found seems to help. There are a lot of drivers using the game. Someone out there has similar equipment to me and has made it work. Please help.

    Here is what I have done so far:
    * Read digital PC2 User Manual
    * Calibrated steering wheel
    * Calibrated pedals
    * Watched several videos from Yorkie065 relating to setup and FFB
    * Loaded global Stable setup and tested it
    * Loaded Yorkie065's suggested changes to FFB and tested them
    * Downloaded Jack Spade's custom FFB files and tested 2 of them
    * Searched PC2 Forums for ideas and suggestions
    None of these changes have made any difference.

    Have you got any logitech software installed ? Make sure it's all set to allow the game to make changes.

    Rename the Project CARS 2 folder in documents and start the game
    DO NOT calibrate anything, just go with the defaults and see if the game detects you wheel correcly, if it does, it should work fine without doing anything else.

    Hello Mad Al,
    I updated the Logitech Gaming Software. I set Project Cars 2 as the default profile. Did not see any settings to allow/disallow the game to make changes.
    I renamed the Project Cars 2 folder in Documents.
    I started the game and went directly to Practice session for the BMW 1M and Road America.
    I was able to complete 5 laps successfully.
    Thanks for your guidance....

    I tried your My In-game FFB:Immersive 100/30/60/5 settings. I think that I am ready to start modifying mechanical setups now. Thanks...
