You know what I'm gonna go play Super Mario Brothers with a flight sim set up....let's all just go crazy!!
Fact remains, pad users are way faster than you...

Let us know how you get on, I'm thinking of installing one of my old F1 games on my surface pro tablet. I have F1 2012-18 on steam (had the others on good old DVD discs) and I've been wondering which is the easiest on the graphics chip and best plays with a pad. I've got NFS:Shift running quite well, which is from 2009 I think, so I'm guessing the older version would probably work best. It's pretty amazing just what these tablets will run actually.

I have been playing a lot of older games recently Shift and Shift 2 are still on my list to finish! The graphics from F1 2010 to 2013 was a significant increase.

For me, if we're talking about the open wheel class, CM wins over SMS. In F1 I feel a lot more fun driving a car, I feel that I'm driving an F1 car. I am involved in driving. It holds the track better, reacts better to steering wheel movements, reacts better to changes in settings, better FFB, better feeling of speed. The whole environment: career (well done), graphic design, license, rankings, commentator, engineer, car development, the number of options related to difficulty - is a monolith. Not every new game in the series is a step forward. Old bugs in new versions of the game are reproduced. But as a simulator of everything related to F1, CM are out of competition. At the moment.

In Assetto Corsa the open wheel class is very similar to that of the F1 20xx. I have similar feelings, I drive a car in a similar way. For example, Ferrari SF70. I drive a car like in F1 20xx and I feel the same (AC has a slightly better FFB, very nice feelings).

Project Cars 2 is a simulator of many classes of cars. And only one driving model that certainly does not perfectly simulate the real world. Some cars in the open wheel class drive better (Formula X, Renault) and others really poor (Formula A). Although after a long fight I found FA settings that give me some fun while driving. But this is not level F1 20xx or Assetto Corsa. I'm not saying it's bad. This is a different vision of simulation. I can't estimate whether it captures reality better.

I like each of these games, each for something different. Each has its drawbacks, especially AC (except for the driving model). None of them makes me a real driver and certainly won't make me .

One more opinion in a million others .

    Pretty much sums it up.

I've been playing the crap out of f1 2019 lately and the 2019 cars in that are the best, most convincing single seaters out of all the sims currently on the market, except perhaps the Marussia in rf2.

Yeah, trying to figure out that comment myself. There are not any simulators on the market which can simulate reality 100%! It's all about, how well do they pretend to simulate an environment? Some well and others not so much!

Assetto Corsa just needs to adjust the tire modeling. The street tires are horrendous!
