Negative camber on front tires does not physically show (replays)

I have to bring this to the community's attention - it's kind of off putting:

No matter how negative camber is on the front wheels, even beyond -5, the front tires still look perfectly straight fro top to bottom. The negative camber can be seen at the rear wheels, but not the front. A design or coding oversight?

While racing, it looks okay, I can see the negative angle on the front wheels, but for some reason, when you start watching replays or go into Photo Mode, the tire looks perfectly straight.

Annoying, and well - deserves looking at. Kind of ruins replay viewing.

    Uhh, anyone?

Is this some kind of visual bug then, that they never plan to address?

There won't be any more patches for the game anyway.
Maybe they'll address it for the next iteration.

pCARS2 is EOL (End of Life) support/patch-wise. There will be nothing patched and added to the game any more.

Iirc they had to cut some detail for 60fps replays.

Thanks a lot for posting those shots - I did some testing and neg. camber looks fine on open wheel race cars. It doesn't show on any of the road cars. Pick any random non-race car from, say, Ferrari, Pagani, Ford or Lambo - and even with a low caster setting and -4 or -3.5 camber, you can't see it in replays and photo mode even though you do see it while you're on track.

Even the GT race cars have this bug. I think every car has it except for the open wheel ones. I tried a variety of GT2, GT1 and GT3 race cars - camber wasn't showing in photos or replays.

Unbelievable - how can this escape quality testing?

BTW, -5.0 IRL looks a lot more "angled" than these photos.

What's that now? They did this on purpose? The replays are locked at 30fps BTW. This is the Xbox One forum and I'm on an X. I've tried all settings, enhanced res, enhanced frames, enhanced detail - the negative camber won't show in replays.

Well, tough luck - but why is something like this even in the game? That's a huge oversight, IMO. Is it the same on PC?

It's pretty much an engine limitation iirc. Open wheel cars have pre-baked camber, closed top cars don't. I'm not sure, but I think it was because dynamic camber didn't work with the possibility to turn the wheels. That's why it only shows on the rear wheels. And yes, it's the same on PC.
Yet, you're pretty much the first to complain about it. So it was rarely noticed before.

Well, being the first one to complain about it doesn't necessarily make it any less annoying. It shouldn't even be there - I have literally not come across a single console racing game in the last 2 decades or so that had negative camber visual glitches.

How can people not notice it? Is replay viewing dead? that's part of the reaaso that makes racing games so timeless: you tune a ride, test it out, view it in action - but wait.. what's this?! Tires looking perfectly straight from top to bottom after applying -3.5 neg. camber? Ghastly!

Edit: I don't think it was there in the first PCARS game. And it's very easy to notice negative camber anytime you watch a race replay in a game or watch a real race. Makes the cars look beautiful when they corner.

Why'd you have to take that away from us SMS?! *shakes fist*

I never watch replays so I never noticed.
Well, a few times I have for race incidents so I'm not looking for details like camber.
I know it works in the simulation aspect so the visual representation isn't a bother for me.
