    Ovals are baffling me Chev/Honda

Most cars are fine I'm there or there abouts but with the Chev/Honda I have no pace over a second a lap slower at Daytona Speedway.
I've tried a lot of set ups but they don't make that much difference just a tenth or two at best.

I haven't done much oval racing lately, should I be changing gears or what gear should I be in, I've tried most things but can't see any difference.

    Anyone else have this issue?

Hi Sel, I only run TT there but it was earlier this year. Usually the top guys have almost the same setups, if you tried any of those they should be better.
Oops, sorry about that. With the Chevy I am slower now as well, forgot those runs were so old.

With the Honda I tried SamuraiPixel's setup and even though he ran this month I am much slower as well.

    Bikes wrecked-77 Suzuki RM125, 78 Honda Elsinore 250, 81 Honda CB900F, 2000 Kawsaki ZX12R(2), 2001 Honda F4I, 2005 Yamaha R1. A bike hasn't been made I couldn't wreck, spectacularly, but I'm retired now.

Thanks for checking, if I remember right the times weren't reset when final patch was released that may explain some of my slower times, I'll take another look.

Yeah. There are a few runs quicker than yours with the new patch but barely so you are good with the 7.0 patch for the Chevy. The odd one is Samurai's with the Honda, his is with the new patch so check that out, 0:36.938 +0:00.250. It was in January not December as I posted earlier but still new 7.0 patch. There is another, 0:37.124 +0:00.436 by nivas with the Honda so maybe you could check out the Honda. The rest of the Honda runs with the 7.0 patch are similar to your Chevy time so 2 odd runs with the Honda for some reason.

I'll give it a run when back at main PC, I also need to check Texas as I used to get a speed bug. The car would be super fast at the start of the lap and then be slower over the rest of the lap which made it unplayable.

Ok had a little run in the Honda but still a way off the 2019 fast time.

I then switched to the road version of the two cars and averaged 5th place with them.

    Really doesn't make much sense.

After I found that setups downloaded from TT ghosts missing some important 'data' (at least for TT lap times) I only use them to get general idea about car settings. It's actually easier for me to work on SMS setups, run few laps and making adjustments to get what I need. Btw also ghost replays is pretty much useless without on screen speedo... even line driven by ghost it's not 'real'.
Few hours wasted ... and I started pc2 only few days ago
