    Snow is broken (but fixable)

Selecting the Snow season is no longer giving a nice Snowy scene...

the simple fix is add on one day to the date

I can only think, as this has only started happening this year.. it's something to do with leap years, as setting the date to 2016 has the same problem with the wrong date for Snow season.

(Snow currently gives a Date of 24/12/2020 for Northern hemisphere and 30/06/2020 for South, and it should show the 25/12 for North and 01/07 for South)

Brilliant! I've been trying to figure out why the snow stopped working for last few days. Thanks for the workaround.

Most likely because this year's a leap-year as mentioned in the OP.

so does that measn the snow is not actually tied to the date as if snow starts on the 25th or 1st - it is still the 25th or 1st whether its a leap year or not ?

It means someone did something weird when sorting the "seasons" selector and how it sets the date and that they didn't take into account leap years... so when it's a leap year, when selecting the Snow season the date is set to 24th and not, as it needs to be to get snow, the 25th.

So to answer your question, the Snow functions exactly the same as any other year, so it works from the 25th to whatever the last date is.. the issue is the link between the selector for the seasons and the date it returns
