Closing the vents on tracks that favor power over agility such as LeMans, Monza or Spa (this is debatable) can easily give you a 1/2 second - 1 second compared to having them on the default setup. Closing the brake ducts at LeMans and Monza is a useful way to keep some sort of heat in the tires when you're going down the straights at not working too much heat into the tire

Running the camber at their minimums and taking off all of the downforce only compound those changes made to the car especially at LeMans and Monza.

Hey sorry if I missed it but what system are you on? Those original career settings were made on PS4, I use PC now and have changed a couple and don't have a problem. My FFB settings are the least tweaked sections of all my tunes. So they are either default or copied from someone else who had good settings.
Trust me when you get the FFB right and a tune you're happy with the game comes alive.

I am on PS4. I pretty much run default FFB (100-50-50-50) and default setup until my driving improves. I do like the feel of your FFB settings though ;-)

Your wheel will clip a lot and lose detail with those settings. Maybe reduce volume to 35-40.

Not so much. Only when I crash I see a red bar. Besides, it is work in progress. Chances are that these settings have already changed I am shifting between volume 40-50 and FX 40-50. Tone is at 60 right now.

Things are about to change for I have sold my RSeat RS1. Will get me a Fanatec CSL Elite PS4 so I can use my other Fanatec gear that is currently unemployed due to incompatebility issues.

For the G29 I setteled at 100-50-50-40. Just enough drag and resistance without clipping...

After extensive testing yesterday the verdict is that I am not able to hit an apex or touch a kerb without getting of track. So I changed to Informative 100-40-50-30. This gives me enough resistance and yet is gentile enough to hit kerbs (a little) to maximize my driving. Without clipping!

Informative auto scales to remove clipping.
If you're missing apex, ffb was not the problem.

I am not ‘missing’ the apex, Mr. Kraft. Don’t be silly ;-)

Yesterday I went from Informative to Immersive to RAW and back again so settingwise I am all over the place. Still my laptimes were improving with every session. My point is that every time I run over a kerb, like in real life, it upsets the car too much. I now aim for a slight ‘brrrrr’ from the kerb by barely touching it.

Then again, it could also mean I suck at driving ;-) For now I am back at Raw 100-40-50-5 where I adjust Volume to taste.

My apologies, I read your previous post all wrong.
For consistent laps I tend to avoid some kerbs. They rotate the car more than I can handle. In saying that, especially with tight diffs (spool or low ramp+high clutch) they noticeably improve turn in, given that you can hit the kerb at the right angle with the right amount of steering +throttle, anticipate the rotation and apply the correct steering (check out v8supercar footage at adelaide or gold Coast for the technique).

This brings us back to the setup aspect: diff tuning. Greater ramps ( >60) seem to make kerb rotation easier for me to deal with.
