I have just discovered a absolute game changer for me and my wheel.

    This line here

    # Scrub
    (Freq 0.47)

I fiddled with it and found that its the cause of my rough feeling and notchyness under load and what i thought were rough track surfaces. they must just be high grip or something.

after experimenting I found that increasing the Freq (Freq 1.00) completely smooths out my feedback. its like going from a G29 to a Fanatec.
I can now be more aggressive with the wheel, for its feels like it might not break something anymore.

the amount of time ive spent trying to dial this cogging sensation out is crazy.

Im not sure what the trade off is but it still feel like good feedback .
    Covid lockdown inspired Sim racer
My rig ..... is not worthy
T300Rs Gt wheel , T3pa Pro inverted pedals
    32" curved Konka 144hz monitor
Acer AIO that shouldn't even run games but somehow does ( awaiting funds to replace)

I'm glad you found your issue. I did carefully dial that in with this update and thought that felt realistic to what lose of grip felt. To me, it felt rubber or tire like in the feedback. It does add road vibrations or subtle details to the road. Further, I plan to tie that into the speed of travel as that creates a different feel of grip instead of the repetitive pattern or frequency that it currently gives us. I'll go through and test out your findings.

    Thank you!
Please try my awesome custom FFB file called PopsRacer FFB. Looking for feedback on all wheel bases. This is a huge upgrade to PCars2 IMHO!

    Hey Pops,

Thanks you very much for your input in the silver project thread.
I am answering your question reg. easy to change variable here, so you can easily find it.

Since the custom file has "if as an expression", you can set a variable, in this example "Z", based on the value of another variable.

    So your ask:

USER=1 ### <---THIS WOULD BE UP TO THE USER TO CHANGE

    IF USER=1 THEN Z=100 ###DD
    IF USER=2 THEN Z=225 ###highend Belt
    IF USER=3 THEN Z=278 ###geared wheels

    Can be done like this:

    (USER 1)

(Z 2) #some fallback default value, in case the USER variable is given a wrong value
(Z (if (- USER 1) Z 100)) # Explanation: "if" turns true if the expression it is given has a value != 0. In this case then "if (- USER 1)" means "if USER != 1". So "if USER != 1" we provide the current value of "Z", and otherwise we provide the value you need "100".
    (Z (if (- USER 2) Z 225))
    (Z (if (- USER 3) Z 278))

This could have been in one long line, as nested if's, but that is far less readable.

    Hope this helps,

    -K

New FFB has been released. Thanks to Coffee supporters for feedback. Special thanks to Karsten Hvidberg for programming feedback on user configs... Zen 1, 2, 3.

----v09.16.202---- Scaled Output down to 1.0, speed enhanced scrubbing, speed enhanced curbs, ZEN 1-2-3 (user choice selectable).

Zen #2 is included in this download. Change the ZEN variable in the FFB TXT file to a higher output #1, #2, or #3 for a smoother output. This is all dependant on your wheelbase and your preference. Engine vibes have been tweaked in each one -- along with road, curb feel, and RPM cut-off ranges. Feedback would be greatly appreciated. ***You will need to restart the game each time you change this variable - 1, 2, 3.

    #####################################################
    (Zen 2) ### <---CHANGE THIS HERE
    #####################################################

Deadzone input is still part of this FFB.

You will need to increase your VOLUME even more. This is more PURE to the game and it makes a lot of sense when you try this. Remember it is just a number. If it is not clipping you will be getting a clear signal from the PC2.

    Thanks.... and enjoy!
