Just done a 1.26.695 on this event but when I checked to see where I stood on the leaderboard my best time was 1.26.890? I made sure that faster lap was valid as the time in the split time box was green and I had another few laps to try and beat it.

managed a 1:25.8 on standard setep earlier this evening, need to work on getting a sharper turn in and sorting out the gearing - 6th really is completely useless!
I've noticed that you can set the fuel level in com events to 1l and it defaults back to 5l in the event - is this a bug or a feature?

I would say that's a feature. It seems to be all time trials keep you at 5l constantly. I'm assuming this is to keep everyone on the page.

Did today .24.96x with ds4. I still have 0.2 in the first sector, 0.3 (max) in the middle and if I drive this home it Finns be too time, not 29th on the leaderboard!
The car is sometimes stupid, understeers a lot specially on first right hander. My tip is that y'all keep the car calm, avoiding sliding and shift on the 4th light (when comes in the middle), and after the first sector the hairpin, I go with 2ng gear out, bring all grip out of the corner(driving TC OFF and stability control OFF), and in the middle sector keep the car in third gear and try having the momentum out of the corners.

After half a hour I got down to 1:23.846 .. but did some setup changes. Huge respect to all those gamepad drivers getting such fast times. :disillusionment:

Well, at least top 10 for now. :)
Not really fun to play in the heat without any ventilators. Car has awesome sound though and since i was so rubbish in the Fa event i kept going.
Good thing they made the car a bit less heavy during devopment feels pretty good now!

6th is quite long on this one, yeah. We got a tip from one real SLS GT3 team that at a number of tracks they don't even bother getting out of 4th! Car works around it fine by having a good bit more power than other GT3 cars.
5L fuel is a feature in TT. Low fuel and consumption off to level that part of the playing field and put focus on other areas of setup rather than picking exactly the right fuel level per track. Somewhat debatable, I know, but we think it's a solution that works.

I like it, works well and saves a lot of hassle restarting sessions so you've got the least amount of fuel possible.

Mad props to Anto and Ti-tech for getting 1st and 2nd. Both of them posted a damn near perfect lap from what I saw.
Here's my best attempt if anyone's interested:

I'm sorry for bringing up the menu so quickly after the finish, but I almost jumped out of my chair when I saw my time. I spent most of the afternoon trying to improve my previous best of 1:23.5 without success, then suddenly I pulled this lap out of nowhere and couldn't replicate it since.

dunno about that. this event is officially ended few days ago so restarting this event would be ok till 22nd when new event is starting!

It's not, you can change the setup in your garage, save it for the track used in the event and then it will be automatically loaded as you start the event.

just seen this at the project cars hp:
"US players that didn't get a chance to participate in these first two rounds, do not fear as we'll be re-running these opening two rounds again (existing leaderboard times will remain) just before E3 2015 in June!"
so there is the answer ^^
but i dont care anymore about this championchip, because you can get double or tripple points if you have more than one platform...

if i knew that iīll be like in top10 easily!!!! iīve did 30th time with"stock"car....ohh my....
but this is shit, i mean, why do i need tune my car in a damn garage and the tun load in the fu..ng TT, why canīt we make our tunes specially for this track/event right in the event menue??? Those small things would make the game experience even better, but, why implement those things when we can do it complicated...damn!!

When you are saving your setup you can select which tracks you want to use it with. It will automatically load for those tracks, regardless of the event type, so it will be used in community events, TTs, FPs and races as well.

How much an advantage is it with a wheel in this game? The way you said it suggests pad users are at a disadvantage?

Well, with a pad you can't steer or use the pedals as accurately, so you are definitely at a disadvantage. By how much will depend mostly on the car and to a lesser degree on the track. The Formula A require much more precise inputs than a GT3 car for example. Overall my guesstimate is that the difference between two people of equal skill level, one playing with a gamepad the other with a wheel, would be around 1-3 seconds.

I did have wheelstand pro and Fanatec and g25 wheels but due to space had to sell, was looking at the simracer controller but there is no ff, so I'll have to stick to the pad.
I just got a 1.20.5 with the formula A at the Catalunya GP track, 25th I think, so not doing bad, but yes for this game your estimations are probably right, I'm losing a lot of time at the first long chicane there, not tried Brands Hatch SMS-R yet.

I agree about the steering but, at least from my experience when testing with the gamepad, I don't see a disadvantage in regards to braking and accelerating with the triggers. Steering precision imho is the main point.
