Livery Pack question

So i understand the livery packs that have and are coming out will be skins made by those in the community.

How do they pick and where do they get them? from the forum? Is there a community vote to who makes it?

I am obviously asking because I would like to some day get a livery in the game as an official livery, and would like to know to process and steps to take.

While nothing has changed- if you do some liveries, place them in the appropriate section of our download database. Someday maybe, If SMS decides to put them into the game as an official part, someone will write an e-mail to you and ask for a layered PSD file.

Thanks for the info. I guess its time to start adding my stuff to the Dl database. I was just putting in the gallery.

Is it possible to get picked while using real companies and logos as "sponsors" of livery? Or are there licensing issues and If i want in game i need to use only fake companies?

There were a couple of community votes for members during the development process. I believe I recognize some of the liveries in the initial release that were on those ballots. In regards to getting your artwork "officially" in the game, you might pose that question to the SMS team, they have been quite responsive to legitimate questions from the community. Jan Frischkorn (SMS Art Director) is a legend in the sim racing community for his artwork, and many of the liveries in the release version of the game look like his work.
