Does your eSports team run its own livery design in the PC version of Project CARS? Then we want to include your livery in the next free Community Liveries Pack for Project CARS!

This free On Demand content will be released on all platforms, allowing anyone to race in your team's colours.

We cannot add your livery to all of the cars in the game, so please only submit a design for the car/s that your team runs the most.

If you would like your team's livery design to be considered, please post it in this thread, including the actual design files. You must submit your livery for consideration by January 25 for it to be eligible.

IMPORTANT UPDATE
Please provide written proof of consent from your sponsors - confirming that you are allowed to use their logos in Project CARS and confirming that we are allowed to distribute your livery to all players in a free downloadable content pack. You must provide this proof of consent by Monday January 25 at the absolute latest or your livery cannot be included in this pack.

Hi Joseph, Im XB1only atm so no access to livery editor atm (hope to see it added to console someday) but can you please include some liveries for the DTM Mercedes, as the current paints lack a little racetrack credability.

That is due to a licensing restriction that prevents sponsors and numbers etc being used on the Merc DTM car.

I supposed there are restrictions but what are they ?
To make simple, may be i can use sponsors who already exists in the same car ?

If you're making a livery for your eSports team, you should only really use brands that sponsor your team.

Good idea Ryzza. My team is not so famous, the livery will be poor and not very "racing" without few sponsors.

Rules for liveries:
§1 Only fictional liveries are allowed.
The livery has to be a fictional design with only fictional logos.
For legal reasons, real brands/logos/designs are not allowed!
In the Painting forum you will find a PSD sheet with the fictional brands we used so far. These are free to be used.
You can also create your own logos as well, but they need to be legally waterproof and your own creation.

Web URLs that don't belong to SMS and any real brands are not allowed in any way.

§2 Design and colours
Design and colours should not be too close to any real life livery, because this can also cause legal problems.
The livery design must be the artist's own creation, without stealing from other sources.
Of course this is a rule with discussion potential: How close is too close?
If a livery loosely reminds or hints you to a real livery, it can be acceptable.
The Dev team will decide from case to case what is legally acceptable and what not.

§3 Illegal content
Rude material (nudity, bad language, etc.) and political opinions/logos are not allowed on liveries.

§4 Layered PSD files
PSD file with all layers needs to be submitted to SMS.
Ideally all elements, logos, etc. are on separate layers.
This is needed in case we need to adjust liveries for legal or technical reasons.

Liveries without layered PSD files won't be accepted!

@JOE can you confirme if here this rules are applied ?

The same rules do apply here.

However, if your team is sponsored by real companies (e.g. SDL Motorsport being sponsored by Logitech) you can use these logos on your design. In these cases you must also provide correspondence from your sponsors to give us proof that they consent to their logos appearing on your design and that they consent to the design being published for all players in a free DLC pack.

Apologies for that. We only had the issues with real-world logos confirmed at the end of last week.

As long as you post your livery and any necessary permissions before midnight (UK time) tonight, there is still a chance it can get included in the pack.

Please note that posting your livery and permissions is not a guarantee that it will make it into the pack. Our vehicle team will still make the final decisions about which liveries are chosen to be included.

In case you have room for more than one RSR livery in your pack I have a Clio one too, all the logos are from Kmax so should be fine for inclusion.

We only had space in the Pack for a limited number of liveries, and we received more submissions than we had space for. Therefore, the vehicle art team only chose their favourite liveries to include in the pack. Unfortunately, not all of the designs could make the cut. Our apologies.

I see 2 liveries of Turboduck, 2 liveries of V10R and others selected from "big" team.
Of course we are small but not less passioned by this game. Small teams are also a part or the success of pcars...

Hi guys.

I was wondering if there is there going to be any other packs done in the future. If there is, I am OK, but I was thinking about players like me who have used various different paint programs to create their own skins. Does the file format have to be as a Photoshop .psd? The reason I ask is, not everyone can afford, or cannot justify paying well over £120 GBP on a paint program when there are cheaper or even free paint programs out there?

For example, I've been making my own skins over the last few years for Euro Truck Simulator 2 & American Truck Simulator aswell as Project Cars, but for years I've always used a very good paint program called Paint.net that saves as a .pdn file & is available from paint.net, & is 100% free. Luckily, Paint.net has a .psd add on to be able to open & save Photoshop .psd files but I have no idea about any other paint programs as I don't use any others.

Just a thought, but, if it is strictly a .psd only file format, would it be an idea to have a list of paint programs that have a Photoshop .psd add-on to allow people to submit their designs.
