Round 7 of the NVIDIA Challenger Series is now open.
Please visit the eSports website (http://www.projectcarsesports.com/home/nvidia-challenger-series-round-7-driver-briefing) to read the full Driver Briefing.
Also, please note that it is a holiday weekend here in the UK, so SMS staff may be a little slower than usual to respond to messages during this round. Our forum moderators will keep a close eye on this thread throughout the weekend.
You canceled the last round because of the differences in the temperature and now you repeat the same mistake again. Organisation of this event is a joke, you might as well just give the rewards to some team...this is pointless.
Enjoy your vacation lol
.....
I'm going to request a mod locks this thread, if this is the way it's going to carry on.
If you read the web-site in the link, you will see that SMS were unable to recreate the fault that was reported and, as such, they are letting the round continue as normal - can you really blame them for that? If you can provide solid evidence that there is still a problem, then post it. Personally, I would like to see a video rather than a still screenshot.
Why are last round results not official then if they can't fix this?
I am sure every team realised by now that the temperature is not the same for everyone. Can't be bothered with uploading videos if SMS doesn't give a shit anyway. As far as I am concerned, you can lock the whole forum....

I am sure every team realised by now that the temperature is not the same for everyone. Can't be bothered with uploading videos if SMS doesn't give a shit anyway. As far as I am concerned, you can lock the whole forum....That attitude really isn't going to help your cause you know. As I said, the link shows that SMS investigated the problem and could not recreate it or find any reason why it should occur. The round was already cancelled before it was finished because they had a duty to investigate it. That's what a responsible company does when something like this comes to light.
With the greatest of respect, see it from their perspective. From my seat, it appears that all SMS has are some still screenshots posted on this forum, apparently showing differing temperatures. I'm pretty handy with Photoshop and I can tell you that it would take no time at all to fake those. I am not saying that those images were faked, but if SMS cannot recreate the problem or find any reason why the program would do that, then the show must go on. Yes, it is frustrating for those that spent time setting times in the last round but, again, SMS had no choice but to cancel the round when they did.
EDIT : And before the question or point arises, yes, I can claim a totally neutral stand in this. I am not taking part in the console division and nor are any of my team mates. I don't have any affiliations of any kind with any other teams taking part in either the console or PC divisions. The only 'link' I have is that I have met one of the individual entrants in the PC division (hi Yorkie :D). I am not an SMS employee (and nor have I ever been). To all intents and purposes, I am just another player in this competition, albeit in the PC division.
Getting close to shut down here...
I am going to repeat my question again then:
If SMS came to a conclusion that there are no differences in temperature in community events, why are the previous round results not beeing reviewed and put as official???
This sounds to me like a deliberate fraud from the organisers since no official comment has been made about this...

And I will repeat what I wrote in my previous reply
...The round was already cancelled before it was finished because they had a duty to investigate it.
If you are going to accuse the organisers of fraud then you better have some evidence to back that up, because that is a VERY serious allegation and not one you should just throw around without understanding the consequences for all involved. As for "no official comment", they have commented. They investigated, after the matter came to light during the last round but have been unable to recreate the problem. By that point, the round was already cancelled. What more do you need them to say?
...to add to that...all descisions are final and non-negotiable...
They canceled the round, investigated and made a conclusion...results from that round don't count,ok. Why are we not repeating round 6 then later on?
Really can't be bothered anymore, someone will eventually put up a video of clear proof of temp difference and they will be forced to cancel again, this is ridicilous and time wasting....

Seems clear to me...
This sort of nonsensical behavior is the reason VRroom pulled out, that and the fact everyone was sharing accounts. Absolute crazy to be going around these tracks like this giving up your free time weekend after weekend to run lap after lap when all these bugs, cheating and un-organisation thats going on. Instead of wining about it go do something about it and go spend some time with the wife and kids and leave this farce of a competition to those who are desperate enough to want to win that their only way to do it is by resorting to cheating sharing their accounts and using other underhanded techniques.
It seems it was not clear to some people that this is not a whining thread. Closed.
