I will say this @NathanBell. The SMS art department is second to none. Those fantasy liveries, the vibrancy of the environment. You know how I feel about the game, but it does look really pretty and well put together.

I really like what Reiza is doing with AMS2, but when it comes to graphics, the talent inside SMS is undeniable.

Yeah, I've been doing Catalunya in F1 2019 this last couple of days, and you have to give Codies credit for their track environments. There is such rich detail all around the track, the pitlane is alive with activity, the crowd react as the car drives past, it looks absolutely spot on in the replays. I hope this screenshot shows that PC3 has some of that magic in there too.

Meh, I picked the Civic for my Road E Career, I hadn't driven the Civic, can't stand the car basically so I thought why not just give it a go. I gave it a s*** paint to start to punish it but since I have to drive it so much I thought I might as well put some pig lipstick on it.:)

Hey, I am at 2560X 1440. After quite a bit of messing around I have a livery with minimal defects. That seam on the Evora is just too sharp, like when I was very young trying to put decals on models and they would wrinkle. I just deleted the decal there and I think it's better. The colors help hide the defects as well.

The Paint Stripes are good, I have problems with my favorite pattern in the MISC. section. There are a couple I can use when the cars have ledges, seam or fuel openings that don't work with the bright and dark combination.

Uphill Struggle? I used the Civic. You are going to need the Mustang later and an AWD so you have to keep the Lancer or sell it and go for the Skyline which is big hit on your Credits.

Thanks 'Blinkngone'...Uphill Struggle?...in Career Mode...that's was it, managed to sneak in after many attempts at 2:22 with the stock Lancer driving manual H-Pattern with Clutch...really enjoyable and challenging. Your time in this challenge is awesome and Holy Moly you have a lot of credits...lol...great looking cars and liveries.
Lucky I had enough credits to buy the Mustang 2+2 for the next set of challenges in Career.

Hey, I think it was breyzipp or bmaniac or somebody who suggested to just go for the fastest time and then run again and try and pick up the markers. I just ignore the markers now and then pick them up in a 2nd run. You can get extra XP/Credits by running at the Ovals in a Custom race. Also some of the cars need to be Upgraded. I was born in 52, so flames.:)

I have over 60 hours in PC3 as of this post, although 30 of those hours are creating screen shots:rolleyes:;);)...but I would have to say that personally I am really enjoying the driving experience in Project Cars 3 compared to PC2 ;) and more than happy with my purchase of PC3 :cool:

EDIT: Thanks to 'blinkngone' for showing the 'Profile' page in PC3 for stats on how long a player has spent in-game :D...it seems that I made a mistake on my hours spent in PC3 by looking at the Steam thumbnail only which indicated 60 or more hours :rolleyes::o...correct time spent in PC3 at time of this Edit screen shot...lol

Looks great. Im running PC3 on XBOX ONE X. But I never see scenes like this during the game. I already switched to 'Priority to Resolution' but what I see is not comparable to this. What am I doing wrong ?

Pcars 3 seems to have a post processing in photomode that the in game doesn't which is why photosmode pictures come out looking way better then the graphics when racing.

The other game i remember having this is driveclub.

I'm the last person you should ask about graphics,to me they look ok but i'm pretty much oblivious to those things.
Also,what looks good for one person doesn't look good for another...
I've seen more reports of people saying they could be better if that's any help.

I try seriously to respect the forum rules. The threads in which I spoke are related to graphics quality, behavior on the XBOX and refunds. The latter is very important to me. Rather than looking in the forum for information if improvement is in sight, I would like to get my 99.99 EURO back and buy something that I like better.
Two groups meet in this forum. Those who just like what they have received and those who had a clear expectation based on the announcements. If PC3 were my first and only racing game, I would probably like it. But I have 6 good racing games in the field of sim and arcade. I bought PC3 because it was supposed to be BETTER in some way. The orientation Arcade or Sim is irrelevant as long this is clearly stated in the announcement. But the fact that the graphics are so far behind everything which is known from other games and last but not least from the 4 year old PC2, is unacceptable to me. I feel fooled Fooled not least by screenshots which are NOT from the running race and not from the console.
For this reason, wherever image quality is discussed, I point out the important difference that the images from Photo Mode say nothing about the video quality in the game.
I very much hope that this cannot be a reason to be banned for.

Hmmm...I have been using Photo Mode from Replays since the beginning...although I think it may be that I use 'Instant Replay', drive for a minute or so, hit 'Pause' view replay then into photo Mode that way. Once time has ended in Replay hit 'Resume' and do it all over again.

Toyota GT-One. Really could not do much with this car. The patterns get messed up with the fender edges and all you get are ragged cut lines. Same for the stripes, anything on the center line get cuts as well. I used the stripe that stops at the base of the windscreen. I used a small decal, even then there are cuts on both sides. Inside the tunnel are bad edges on the factory paint so it's the same for custom colors.

1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 2.8. Many problems with this car that compromise the liveries mainly in the rear quarter with cuts, this limits the colors and patterns I can use. For some reason the decals in the Historic folder appear to of better quality.

Sometimes I have to plan screen shots, position the car just nicely and visualise a screen shot when racing, then retreiving it when reviewing the replay...the first 2 screen shots was one of those occasions that you hope the AI had the same idea as you as I pulled up along side the red 512 BB LM then as luck would have it the dark blue AI 512 BB LM that was trailing behind us pulled up along side the red 512 as well...holy moly:cool:;)...but only for that split second then the blue 512 AI dropped back.

Thorougly enjoying the Photo Mode and a definite improvement over PC2 especially in the shutter Speed blur / blending on Triple Screen set ups ;). Would like to be able to get the camera closer to the ground for that more dramatic angle though and possibly add a couple more 'f stops' 'f13 / f16 for more depth of field and possibly an 'f 22' setting for everything sharp in the image composition once the shutter speed is at 1000sec, much like having 'No' Bokeh' in Project Cars 2 ;)
