TV's are almost always pretty bad at input lag for gaming and by employing marketing to make them sound better than they really are. Have a look for your specific TV on the RTings website, and make sure you adjust your TV settings to enter 'Game mode' if it has one to disable movie-post-processing features which should speed things up a little.
Most computer monitors have been 5ms or lower for over a decade for comparison. Plenty even advertise 1 or 2ms. SO 14ms could be 3x worse or even 14x worse. Everyone has a different sensitivity to it. i.e. it might not be so bad on a race track, but try to swerve around traffic cars in an open-world game and you might find the delay too much to bear.
