Hi Juergevara,
Im very sorry that we missed this post from May. If you are still having issues could you post your query in a new, separate forum post?
Kind regards
David
I apologize if I posted this in the wrong forum....(if so, please direct me where it should be posted)
I am trying to play Project Cars (1) and the game keeps crashing on me before I can even open up the options menu and adjust any settings.
I'm trying to post the entirety of the dmp file below (I couldn't find how to attach the txt doc..i'm sorry for the long post). NOTE: I do not have any other software open except for Google Chrome. The only thing I have found in the forum that may be applicable to me is having my CPU overclocked however it has never been an issue before with even the most demanding of games. (I believe my PC specs aere posted as a bio in my profile)
The error I receive is: Unhandled exception trapped. EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION at 0x40dfa67b. Reading from Address 0x00000000. Thread 0x00001874
Any help or advice?
(I'm trying to post the results of the DMP file but the forum keeps telling me this...however I'm not posting any links or email...."Because of our Spam Protection System, users with only few posts cannot post links or email addresses. If you need to post a link please wait to have more forum posts or contact a Moderator.")
Project CARS hides immediately after startup.
At this time, only sound is heard.
The game seems to be running in the background.
Nothing is displayed on the monitor but the desktop.
OS/Windows 11
I am using a Logitech G27 Racing Wheel.
This is caused by Logitech Gaming Software.
Right click on the Logitech Gaming Software icon and switch the compatibility to Windows 7.
Project CARS will now start up normally!![]()
