Yes, I believe air temp (or "Ambient Temp") is modeled separately from Track Temp.

REAL weather is supposed to look-up the current weather at the track location you selected using GPS coordinates and an Internet weather service so that your game session weather would match the track weather in real life at that moment. I don't think it updated it in realtime while driving. I think it was more just the starting condition and maybe 1 weather slot forecast. Details are fuzzy to me now and I expect this feature to be developed further. Honestly I have not even tried it myself but those were the concepts behind "REAL" weather setting.

For the weather / physics systems we model seperately:

Air Temp
Track Temp
Barometric pressure (affects horsepower)
Air density based on elevations (by location) ( affects horsepower, but not aerodynamics yet)
Wind speed (affect handling)
Wind direction (affects handling)

I grew up through the 1980's/90's F1 era, my question is :- imho the mclaren mp4/4 is the holy grail of motorsport, will we ever see it in project cars? I would happily pay for the addon if nessacary (a Senna car pack would be ultimately epic)

In community events are the set ups the same for every one or does it use the set the player has created and saved in the garage ?

If i set it to real, will my GT3 car have ABS and TC, or do i need to unlock the assists and toggle them on using key/controller binds?

Yes if you set it to REAL then the game will manage the inidividual settings for you based on the car class

Hi Doug, I am not fully up to date, will this information be added to the track preview before a race somehow? Would be realy interesting! As well as a weather forcast if you choose random weather?

I know this question might sound pretty basic but how do you save cars? I started working with just one car for several days until I felt more comfortable. Got another car and now noticed that it was the only one in my garage. The first one was gone. Got another car today, now the second one was gone. Is there somewhere where you have to "save to garage"?

You don't save the cars to the My Garage. They're available at all times. You just pick one to use for whichever race mode you're using. Except Career mode, it's which ever car was assigned to you in the contract. You can however in My Garage tune your setup and when you save the setup select a specific track for that setup or all tracks. So whenever you select that car at your chosen location it loads your setup by default when the track loads. There is a bug however, between sessions(like from Practice to Qualify for example) it resets the setup to your saved track default that you saved in My Garage rather than carrying it over to the next session.

Ok thanks. So the two previous cars and setups I worked with before are still there and I just have to go back and select those cars? I did go back and try to select one of the other cars but it gave me a car with no livery, just a red car. Did I accidentally select another one of those cars, so now I have two of them?

@Jezza819 No, there's just one instance of each car, it's just the liveries that get reset constantly (a little annoying, yes).

as a novice in project cars, I have few questions: (I hope there is right section for this)

1) What does green and blue color of tyres in right bottom corner means?
2) What does "KERS" and "DRS" means(its in controls -> edit assigments -> vehicle)?
3) Do I have to change driver during 24h le mans? Or is it optinal only, so I can drive whole race?
4) How long season in career mode takes? In the career there is calendar, but I dont know, how to find out what month will my current season end.
