Where is the career progress saved to?

I had what I believe was a mechanical issue with my computer yesterday causing it to turn off and restart on its own. I had just loaded up qualifying or maybe it was a race with a full grid.

When I booted Project Cars back up, my settings were still saved but my career progress was erased.

I want to back up my progress manually every so often to avoid this in the future but am having a hard time finding the file.

    Thanks,
    Chris

I'll check it out when I get home.

If career progress is tied together with settings, any ideas why one was deleted but not the other?

Depends on which settings you are referring to. Profile holds career progress, car setups and gameplay settings. For graphics there is XML config file in Documents\Project CARS\graphicsconfigdx11.xml

Odd, my career progress was deleted but the gameplay settings (controller, difficulty, so on) weren't.

I saw that and wondered the same thing. Hopefully a fix is coming post haste. The confusing UI and this issue aside, it was worth the wait for the game/sim. Well done.

    Thanks RBL and Tiger

I wish all games could save their save files in one location i.e. My Games. Lost my career due to tinkering as I expected the profile in Documents folder
