Has anybody else noticed that the gravel trap on the right hand side of the exit of the left hand element of the Shell Esses curve @ Oschersleben seems to behave like a part of the circuit rather than a gravel trap? By that I mean if you put a wheel a good foot or so over the line and right into it the car doesn't slow down or respond as if it's in a gravel trap but instead seems to react as if it's a wide circuit-level run-off area with no noticeable loss of speed or grip?
See the blue circle...
I don't have a video to back this up - I'll have to do one this evening if I get a chance - but I did a small online race with a friend of mine there in Formula Rookie yesterday and ran wide on several occasions in practice through there with no physical reaction from the car. I'm pretty sure it's a gravel trap - it certainly looks like one although doing 80mph+ through it I could be wrong but I'm pretty confident I'm not.
I haven't seen it mentioned in any other areas - hence the new post - apologies if I missed someone else mentioning it...
