Escort Mk1 @ Donington GP

I have a reasonable set-up for the Escort (works at Oulton, Silverstone etc) but I just cannot get it around the two slow hairpins at Donington GP.

It's like driving a bus. At the (necessary) slow entry speed, it just will not turn in sharply or hold the curve.

Which settings have the biggest effect on slow-speed cornering?

Also, is anyone sick of getting clattered by those stupid 3-tonne Mercedes in the Escort/Mercedes historic career event? I swear they just bat me into the scenery on purpose

Try adjusting the steering slider in the set up screen to fast. Like you, I struggled with slow corners until I started messing with it. 2 or 3 clicks to the left help

I have a base setup for that car. It may or may not work but its worth a try. It for a Nordschleife Stage 3 HLC over in the Hotlaps & Events Section, now I know the tracks you're looking for are more flat but....

BASE SETUP Check it out, the slow turns will require changes to mechanical grip so suspension changes I would say like dampers for instance.

Thanks for the reply. My setup is not a million miles away from yours. Increasing the caster angle seems to help the slow-speed turning for the two hairpins.

Yep, I've moved it quite a way to the left now. Cheers
