    Sick of the rammers

I have put a lot of hours in to this came and on multiplayer 9 times out of 10 I get a blatant ram in a race, mostly on the first lap. Even when I'm keeping well out the way I get side swiped or rear ended.

One solution I can think of is to have an option to ghost the cars on lap 1. I think this would sort the clean racers from the dirty rammers.

Another way is to penalise a clear ram by measuring the force of the shunt.

    Please add more suggestions.

    Hi mate.
In our league we use a scoring system for our drivers to make sure everyone is clean. Have a look for us on Facebook. ONE.4 community

I ran some multiplayer last night (wife out of town) and what I saw was MOST people driving respectfully but 1-2 LAGGY guys warping and just absolutely destroying everyone's race. We started kicking these guys out. I think these "bad ping" guys do not even know they are doing it, it is not apparent to them what is happening....they think/see everything is just ok.

Someone accused me of ramming them but I don't even remember being behind the guy at all according to my race replay. So it's possible I had a bad connection/ping.

He's not talking about bad connections and lag. He's talking about his experience with deliberate ramming and pushing.

I really do think lag is one of the main causes of this "ramming" everyone's talking about. I've been playing multiplayer in public lobbies for several weeks now and I've yet to be deliberately rammed off the road by someone. Yes I've been hit, spun, and bumped off course however many of the people aren't intending to do so and I've had numerous people say "sorry" in the text chat and some will even let me back by them. There are however people who seem to warp all over the track (it's like racing houdini) and they're the dangerous ones because you don't know where they're going to appear next.

I've also had instances of coming out of the pit being driven by the AI and I'll wind up halfway inside someone else's car on pit road before the AI slows down (however no damage actually occurs even once turned over to manual control).
Project Cars 2 is coming here! Okay enough with the silly signatures... I gotta find something better to put here.

Well yeah, there definitely are some d*ckheads out there. I'll go ahead and shame a player called "buttfapper", He tried to take me out at Hockenheim in the stadium sector 3 but I managed to dodge him. He destroyed his car into the wall and immediately exited the race.

Can't really trust a clean race with a guy named "buttfapper", I should have known better.

You'll just have to lean to live with these idiots.
Game developers don't seem to give damn.
Rammers pay their money just like everyone else so are entitled to play it how they want or how else do you explain the lack of effort put into this part of the game, it's not just the pCars Devs but nearly all sims.

I've given up on qualifying in public lobbies. I tend to find that starting from the back has bigger benefits. Usually it's the first corner that causes the carnage so I'll just hang back and drive by the carnage. Bathurst is a classic example where being on the front row is a huge disadvantage imo. I also try to never be on the outside of turn 1. Always stay on the inside line even if it's slower, hug the wall or even get on the grass. Anything to avoid being int he outside cos these muppets normally screw that first corner and drive right off.

I don't like the idea of ghost driving. It feels like you're racing against a computer.

I agree Ghost driving is not what we want.
