I would kindly ask for some official statemennt on this, as I have the impression that this might solve several issues people are experiencing with the console versions of pCars in general, after updates have been installed.
Let me elaborate shortly:
1. During the beta phase it was common to delete the profile (which is the save game file on consoles that contains game progress data, settings, setups, strategies etc) every time a new version was released. All settings etc were lost after that, *but* all strange effects resulting from inconsistent settings were minimized. The first question from the devs when strange behaviour was reported, was "Did you delete your profile?". Very often this solved the adressed issue.
2. It is a fact, that re-setting input control options (including FFB parameters) is necessary after updates to get the "full package" of improvements/changes. This was never clearly communicated in the patch notes e.g. afaik.
My question therefore is:
Does it make sense, or even more, is it necessary to delete the save game files on consoles after/before a patch is installed to receive full patch functionality accompanied by a reduced risk of issues to occur?
I was thinking of this for some time now. Here are some recent posts that encouraged me to open this thread finally:

I know it is unpopular to tell users that they will loose all their progress etc. I ask myself what could be the lesser evil though...
p.s.:
I love the title, but I must say that we are loosing support from console racers more and more unfortunately. Mainly because of new bugs introduced after patches and the need to re-tweak FFb. People just want to race mainly. Only few are into repeated fumbling with options. Most of the guys I know would have no problem with deleting their save game files at all if that would reduce their efforts to be able to race like before the update.
