Announcing the Logitech G Championship Series

We're very proud to announce that the 2016 Open Setup Championship Series will now be known as the Logitech G Championship Series! #LGCS for short.

This is great news as it will bring more attention, coverage and prizes to the championship for everyone to benefit from.

Alongside this news, we have published the full schedule and regulations for the Open Setup LGCS.

One important change to be aware of for 2016, is that you must now keep two wheels in contact with the circuit at all times, not one. This brings the series more in line with FIA standards for track limits and will make it easier for SMS staff to regulate each round.

If you have entered the series, please read the regulations thoroughly.

For those of you who have entered the Fixed Setup Challenger Series, we will have a separate announcement of the full rules for this Series soon. We are also working behind-the-scenes to find a title sponsor for this Series as well.

Do we only need to register if we want to enter a team. Are individual players entered by simply playing the time trial?

That is correct.

Team's must register before April 1 with a maximum of 5 drivers.

Individuals just need to play the in-game community events to take part.

Hi Joseph, I've got a question . Is it possible to see times from other platforms somewhere. I know the tool for pc times. But because it will be a console competition (Xbox and ps4) it would be great to see those times as well. I probably know the answer.... But if there is a possibility it would be great! And if it is to much, maybe for pcars 2?

Hi Figuur. This is more likely for Project CARS 2, but it might be something we can look into in the shorter-term as well. Possibly we could have a page on the eSports website that displays times during an event. It would be a lot of work for our guys though, so this isn't a promise by any means. I'm just thinking out loud really.

The system doesn't send out confirmation emails. Consider your team registered though. You'll be fine to enter the events when they begin.
