[RESOLVED] WILL NOT GO FULLSCREEN

My game launches in windowed mode no matter what I do.

I have tried changing it and restarting the game.
I have tried deleting the graphics config file, changing it, and restarting the game
I have tried rebooting my computer, deleting the graphics config file, changing it and restarting the game
And yes, I have tried alt+return, which gives me an annoying windows error sound

WHY must I always fight the games I want to play? Why can't I just have a nice relaxing afternoon with an old game I missed? Why is everything on windows such a pain in the ass?

Please help.

Go to options , visual , performance , change resolution to the one you use , set windowed mode to off . Also the X to exit the game is gone so use the ESC button to close the game ,

I had the same problem. What I did to solve it was edit the resolution setting in the config file to what I was previously using with windowed mode set to 0

"C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Project CARS\graphicsconfigdx11.xml" and save this file as read-only.

i had this happen to me the other night and it turned out that my geforce control panel wasn't optimized for the game. So i optimized and it went to full screen again.

I got round the problem by temporarily setting a lower resolution and selecting full screen.

After restart, I then reinstated my usual max resolution 1920*1080 and now it starts in full screen ok.
