About progress in Career

There is an annoying feature in Career, that if you are not good enough, you cannot progress and you´re stuck at one spot which makes it unrealistic. I also do not want to drive every car classes (GT3, GT4 and touring cars are interesting for me) but I would like to drive full championships. In last GT4 championship, I won 1/5 races, earned 25 points and came 10th in championship, but it was not good enough.

Probably, for my needs I would need unlock entire career and drive single championships? How to unlock all offering in career tree? Is there a hach tool for this?

Are you talking about PC1 or PC2 ?

In either case, if you struggle to get top three and so don't get any invites to further series, alter the AI strength to allow you to compete.

As funny as it sounds, it is not about AI strenght here. Usually I mess up the race, even if I´m on top in qualify. So, imagine I finish all 5 event´s qualify 1st, but I win only 2 of them.

In that case, concentrate on driving under your limit and keeping the driving consistent. No matter what you drive, it's actually more important to work out how to keep consistent lap times than absolute speed.

I have this problem quite often too. To get more consistent, I start a private testing session, put enough fuel in the car for 15 - 20 laps and try to run the car out of gas. I don't worry about pace. I just want to empty the tank without busting any carbon fiber. When I can do that, I put more fuel in and go again. Eventually, I'll try to pick up the pace while maintaining the same level of consistency.

Career progression is a bit of a mystery as it seems to be wide open to start but once committed to that starting point then progression is very linear. If you want to drive a different category there is always the option to create another career and use that for a different class until you have moved on to the next tier. I think all the top tiers are locked but GT3 and lower as well as TC should be available iirc. Consistency is key and part of that is to hold back to 90% during the race. Better to drive just below your capabilities during the race and risk all during qualifying. You can also shorten the career races to less than full length if you find that you're able to keep consistent for up to 10 laps but then you start making mistakes.

Not sure how to unlock all but probably start as close as possible to the top tier and finish that line and then move on to the next. Haven't really played around with this as I'm still mid career with my driver.

I really like the fact you can't unlock events until you finish high enough in the previous tier. You wouldn't get a drive in a higher class if you didn't prove you were good enough in your current one in real life (or have a fair few million in sponsorship) so it's realistic imo
