PC Cars - wont launch - sits at title screen

Turned PC on after a few months - all looks good - and yet PC Cars wont get past the initial ( Slightly Mad Studios ) screen , it just sits there stalling - PC Cars also shows as NOT RESPONDING in Task Manager. I have done verification of local files in Steam - PC Cars still no go - Help would be truly appreciated - cheers.

Strange because I have run PC Cars for a while , but hadnt used it for a few months - my PC didn't do any updates etc so I find this strange yet I have recollection of something similar happening before a while ago - cant recall the fix.

You talking about the first title I assume..

A few details about your computer may be useful..

1. Make sure to add the Steam install path to any antivirus exceptions
2. Delete the graphics xml config files from Documents\Project CARS
3. If need be try renaming the default.sav file from Steam\userdata\<Your steam ID>\234630\local\project cars\profiles

Yes Project Cars 1.
PC - Windows 7 / i5 / 3.5Ghz / Asrock B85M HDS Motherboard / GTX660X Video Card.

Steam runs games like Elite Dangerous fine - its just P-Cars and AC at this stage with these issues ( apologies for mentioning AC on this forum )
