    Sim Racing Telemetry is available for download

    Sim Racing Telemetry (home page: https://www.simracingtelemetry.com) is officially available! To download it:

    [UPDATE 2021-07-16] Added support for F1 2021 (on PC, PS4, Xbox One). Improved colours management, added custom "colours palette" for charts and custom "game recording options".

    [UPDATE 2020-10-14] Added support for F1 2020 (on PC, PS4, Xbox One). Added new "Share" and "Export to CSV" features.

    [UPDATE 2019-09-28] Added support for F1 2019 (on PC, PS4, Xbox One). Added new "statistics" feature.

    [UPDATE 2018-08-30] Added support for F1 2018 (on PC, PS4, Xbox One)

    [UPDATE 2018-06-13] The PC/Mac version is available on Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/8...ing_Telemetry/).

    [UPDATE 2018-05-03] Added a Trial Mode: you can now use the app for free with any supported game. All the features are available. The only limitations are the available parameters and the number of storable sessions.

    Below a description of the current release with a couple of illustrative images (please check the Notes section). It supports Project Cars 2 and Project Cars on both PC and consoles (PS4, Xbox One) (setup instructions here: https://www.simracingtelemetry.com/help/PCARS2/).

    I would like to thank the members of this community that helped during the development, testing the app and suggesting features and enhancements.

    DESCRIPTION
    Sim Racing Telemetry is the essential tool for the sim racing eSports community to quickly acquire, analyze and review detailed telemetry data from any sim racing game.

    Telemetry is a key factor in eSports racing, allowing sim drivers to interpret data collected during a race or session and use them to properly tune their driving style and vehicle setup for optimum performance.

    SRT is the right tool to improve the in-game performance of any sim racer, as real telemetry tools do for real drivers. It’s an indispensable tool to study and plan the setups for time-attacks, qualifications and races.

    Sim Racing Telemetry records all available telemetry data during timed laps and presents them on simple and intuitive interfaces: drivers can analyze data by looking at bare numbers, interactive charts or projected on a reconstructed track. Recorded sessions are also summarized with charts. Available telemetry data vary based on the used game.

    SUPPORTED GAMES
    • Project Cars 2 (PC, PS4, Xbox One);
    • Project Cars (PC, PS4, Xbox One);
    • F1 2021 (PC, PS4, Xbox One);
    • F1 2020 (PC, PS4, Xbox One);
    • F1 2019 (PC, PS4, Xbox One);
    • F1 2018 (PC, PS4, Xbox One);
    • MotoGP 18 (PC, PS4, Xbox One - official support, in collaboration with Milestone);
    • F1 2017 (PC, PS4, Xbox One, macOS);
    • F1 2016 (PC, PS4, Xbox One, macOS).

    Available telemetry data vary based on the used game (see specific DLC for the complete list).

    MAIN FEATURES
    • Free Trial Mode (with access to a limited set of parameters and a limited number of storable sessions).
    • Access to all telemetry data produced by games (requires the purchase of the appropriate DLC/IAP).
    • Continuous recording: SRT detects new game sessions automatically.
    • Session view with per-lap information (positions, timings, tyre compound, pit-lane status, etc - available information vary based on the used game).
    • Laps comparison: compare the telemetry of two laps. A "time difference" (TDiff) chart is available to get evidence of faster/slower sections.
    • Interactive charts for all recorded parameters (select the parameters to plot, reorder them, zoom in/out, etc).
    • Interactive tracks with overlaid telemetry data: see telemetry data plotted over a reconstructed track, with the ability to overlay multiple parameters together. Visual comparisons supported.
    • Statistics: compute statistics on supported parameters. Essential when working on car setups. Supported statistics: min, max, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, median, median absolute deviation. Compute statistics for individual laps or for whole sessions, with output in tabular and graphics forms. Comparisons supported.
    • Sharing: share your telemetries with other users and compare your laps with the ones from your friends. Used with the comparison feature, this is the best tool to improve your skills.
    • Exporting: export your telemetry data to CSV file, to analyze them with other programs (Excel, LibreOffice, etc.).
    • Support for: scalar and vector data; per-vehicle and per-wheel data; physical quantities (velocity, temperature, time, pressure, etc.); several units of measure and their conversions (radians/degrees, meters/kilometers, kpa/psi, etc); output in metric and imperial units.

    NOTES
    • DLCs/IAPs are required to unlock the full and unlimited versions. To capture data, you must own a copy of the games on a supported platform.
    • DLCs/IAPs are not transferable to other supported platforms: digital stores doesn't support it out-of-the-box (we'll try to improve on this in the future).
    • This is not a dashboard app and no dashboard features are present.
    • To record data, both the computer running SRT and the PC/console running the game must be connected to the same network. Some games could require to run the game and SRT on the same computer. SRT records only complete timed laps. Follow the integrated instructions (Help button in the Recording view) for more info.

    The app looks great, but for different reasons I am running Project CARS 2 UDP protocol. Do you have any plans to support that?

    Thanks. Unfortunately support for UDP protocol version 2 in on hold: we have it since day-1, but there are several bugs in the game that makes it unusable with SRT. If this will change in the future, we'll re-evaluate its integration.

    Sorry to hear that, but understandable. Could you maybe list the bugs here? I'll try to collect bugs and statements from developers, and maybe persuade SMS to spend a few hours on fixing the UDP protocol.

    Bugs were reported in 2017 by several developers, in the dedicated forums section. For example here: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sho...PI-Bug-reports (some of our bugs were reported here: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sho...=1#post1477022).

    Ok, then they are well aware. UDP issues seems to have been moved down the priority list, until it fell off the list unfortunately.

    This does look interesting. Can you confirm for me whether the telemetry is exportable or is it only available during the live session?

    Sorry for the late reply. At the moment telemetry is *not* exportable (likely in a future update) and it can be seen only after the recording ended (in the future we would like to have it in real-time).
