Follow up: After i submitted a report, PayPal notified me that the sender offers a full refund. I have to send the wrong gauge back at my own cost to get that refund though...
That brings me to two things:
- I didn't want a refund.
- How is it i have to pay for a mistake they made?
There's no way to react on PayPal, except to submit the details of the return package.
If i don't do so before February 1st, the issue will be dismissed.
I sent another email to the seller but regardless i fear i'll have to come out of this with a loss.

Yeah PayPal is nice when all things works as it should be. When the shit hits the fan it becomes an other story. I once tried to contact them, well that is almost impossible.
Good luck Konan.

I never liked PayPal. It´s a shame that some things in this world just don´t work without it anymore.

Never had issues with it myself, just in this case it's a step i can only follow, no way of reacting.
Even though i deliberately didn't check the "i want a refund" box...

I don’t have much problems as well. Normally everything works out well but when it does not you’re screwed so to speak.
You simply cannot contact them in a decent way.
