So glad I found this post. I had a BMW M3 CSR IRL and after completing the GT5 championship in PC2 I thought YES I will do the M3 in the GT4 championship, very quickly realised I was way WAY out of my depth here... wow it was all over the place, very unpredictable and tail happy with no understeer at all... after a few hours of trying to "learn" the car it would still catch me off guard at the smallest things... I wondered if it was "just me" and I thought I would google it and found multiple page hits just like this one. I wish I had googled this before starting out the championship... I have thrown in the towel for now, but I have to say the setting that have been posted did make some difference, but I still found it a difficult car to drive. Anyway in 8 laps in the Ginetta G55 with "stable" default settings I had beaten the best time I had set after a few hours in the M3... but more importantly it was consistant... Such a shame.

Yeah the BMW is definitely a challenge, especially around the Red Bull Ring. The slightest twitch or change in line and you are spinning there. Really not worth the effort unless you just enjoy punishing yourself for little reward.
    Bikes wrecked-77 Suzuki RM125, 78 Honda Elsinore 250, 81 Honda CB900F, 2000 Kawsaki ZX12R(2), 2001 Honda F4I, 2005 Yamaha R1. A bike hasn't been made I couldn't wreck, spectacularly, but I'm retired now.

Man you are so right, I love the M3 (E92) as it has so many memories for me but I don't have the patience... not when after 8 laps (2 of them being to warm the tires up) I have beaten my previous best with the M3 having done over 2 hours of me sweating and cursing, but mostly just totally lost at what I was doing wrong... (It was at the Red Bull Ring too).

Yeah turn 6 was a particular b****. I didn't try the Ginetta but both the Cayman and the Mustang were a lot more forgiving at RBR. Oh, welcome to the Forums and hope you have fun with PCars 2.

I've got a base setup for this car which will fix all your problems. Don't know when I'll find time to post it, though.

Thanks. I haven't heard from him in over a year. He was having issues with his brakes. When/if you find time go ahead and post it anyway.

    .
Here's the base setup for the M3 GT4. It's based on real life setup parameters, so it's quite good, in my opinion. Balanced, and favours a realistic driving approach.
