So unfortunate what happened to the Bentley boys. Can't believe how Soucek threw it away. Not like this. They were definitely in contention for the win.
Very happy for the Aston Martin team. Farewell to the old lady. P2 in the last race is really something. The 6l V12 will be missed for sure![]()

There were so many teams which could have won depending on how the race went. I only saw the first few hours live, but even from that it seemed to me that the Bentley was strongest probably followed by the Mercedes-AMG.
And to make the same mistake twice isn't at all good...
The win was on the table for a few teams, and BoP was so good, watching a V12 vs V10 vs V8 vs V6 battle was just brilliant stuff and almost made me spit my drink over my notebook.
I would've loved to see the Aston win, though. That late move at Forrest's Elbow by the Porsche was on the edge. Not really a spot to overtake.
Anyways, the mountain really is a special track. I absolutely love it.

There was contact and the move was under investigation but apparently he got away with it. I think at that stage you do not risk to finish yours and the opponent's race. I leave this here for everyone to judge.
What a great race! Nice to see Nissan and Aston so strong, the new Bentley (incredible bad luck) ... but, for me, Porsche was brilliant! Fantastic win!
One of the best endurance races I ever watched.

Once something is a passion, the motivation is there.
I feel like the Porsche should have conceded the position to the BMW before the restart. (That's the move that was under investigation) But I also feel like this would have made very little difference in the outcome of things.
The send into the elbow was perfectly legal. And brilliant.
