Definitely a great PR win for SMS and a wise decision for Automobilista devs. Probably a lot easier to port the game to consoles for increased sales.
Interested to see how much the Madness engine has advanced since PCARS2. Of course AMS devs may have to lock it to some specific iteration to avoid any nasty surprises, but still.

So there will be no Project cars 3 for a while.
Sad.
I think this is fantastic news, but there's already a thread discussing this: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sho...utomobilista-2

I think we already knew that. PC3 given the go-ahead in Dec 2018. PC2 taking over 2 years from go ahead to release. PC3 aiming to "blow everything else out of the water" unlikely to be be a simple polishing of PC2. SMS working on another game (Fast & Furious franchise) since PC2 was launched.
Sorry for off topic.
Back on topic - if Reiza do use PC2 physics rather than their development of the "old" rF1 physics it would be something of a coup. The player base for AMS is tiny but it does seem to have an influence in sim racing perception well beyond its actual popularity. Some will never change their mind but if you are trying to change perceptions this is a good way of doing it.

I assume they will keep using their own physics, no point using that of PCARS or anything else I think. But with PCARS2 gfx (combined with AMS sounds!) we could be in for a treat!
you're not supposed to go into the light, you're supposed to drift around it.
