If it lives up to the promise, it may well be a generational leap for simulation gaming. I have the Flyinside flight sim, which streams scenery on the fly, and as a proof of concept it is very impressive. That comes from a tiny dev team, just think what the combined resources of Microsoft might achieve.
Imagine a future race sim that could provide any track or public road anywhere in the world streamed live into the game.
Biggest drawback for me is that they seem a bit iffy on VR with FS2020, at least at launch. That would be such a shame if they don't implement VR.

Yeah, if it had me looking to see the options of flight sim hardware. But my feelings are something could come out around the game release date. My thoughts atm, I am kind of holding on from now on on any purchases to see if I want to go the DD wheel route! Flight sim gear is at least as deep a rabbit hole as race sim gear, but there is some good kit out there.
Edit: in other news, I just picked up from one of the videos that this whole project started five years ago as a VR HoloLens demo, and when the top brass at MS saw the potential, they went the whole way to create a full on sim. This could indicate that VR is more of a possibility if its built from the ground up with this in mind. Fingers crossed, maybe not at release but there is hope at least.

I would love to buy a copy as well as I always loved it. After seen the beauty of this version I will regret it not to buy it but I won't do it. At least not atm. I have so much games I want to play. First RDR2 after that I will decide if FS will be bought.
