Great, even timed races are out. Why even call this game Pcars 3 then when almost everything that defined the first 2 pcars is out of the window?

No timed races, no AI difficulty sliders, no authentic assists, no realistic car classes, crippled tire model, no pits, no tire wear, no fuel load, removal of several popular track licenses, barely any new cars. What else they are deleting?

Well, good luck and all the best, SMS. I won't get this game until 50% because if I want Grid or Forza, I will play Grid or Forza.

Yes challenging times but I think the best way to understand pc3 is that it will have the playability and fun of Forza but with the gripping (oh look a a pun) handling and physics SMS are known for. It is aiming at a larger market and the change is difficult for many to accept.

I was given some updated info for these two questions:



How can players change between slick and wet tyres if the weather changes during a race?
It is understood that the tyre compounds have 'all-weather' characteristics that function well enough in dry and wet conditions. Players can expect a reduction of grip in the wet and snow.


Are private online lobbies available in Project CARS 3?
Custom multiplayer lobbies can be created and set as public, friends only, invite-only, or password-protected.

Those answers seem much more positive, especially the private lobbies which we were led to believe would not be available on release. Maybe it is the wording that was confusing the issue. Invite only and password protected are fine for me.

On the tyre front that seems much more sensible than tyres that actually dynamically changed to suit the conditions. One further question would be I guess does that mean that the weather will not be as wide ranging as we are used to.

From discord, buy slots do not appear to be limited and you can own the same car multiple times.

From what I'm understanding, single part upgrades and race conversions are handled seperately... sounds like you can just whack on a full conversion kit in one go.

Talk on discord about super realistic up grades has got me itching for release day. More power might not make a car faster unless you sort other stuff like suspension, c of g and so on and it looks like upgrades will change the sound of the car.
