VR issue

I'm starting this thread because there are some questions that need answering to be able to track the VR issue...
So anyone who encounters that issue could you please provide us with the following info:

- Do you have these issues when you're not using the wheel as well?

- can you please provide us with your dxdiag and graphics settings?

I never tried it without my CSW 2.5 so I can't answer that question. On the latest Nvidia driver and Pcars 3 patch for PC.

Any other questions you have I would be happy to test and or try.

I have a 1080ti and 10700k but can not seem to get above 40fps in vr with all settings lowered. I can get around 90 on average with everything maxed out at 4k without vr. And my VR performance is poor with and without my thrustmaster wheel. I have no issues in pcars 2 in regard to vr performance.

Hi did you ever solve this I’m getting the same using the new oculus guest 2 my frames are stuck at 45FPS in game but up to 90 in menus ??

Hi Ainzi, is there any chance you might be running ASW (Asynchronous Space Warp) which is dropping to 45fps because it can't maintain 90fps? What VR headset are you using?

Hey all. Hope you're all having a good day.

With VR do other gamers still (as of latest update / dlc) notice missing flickering textures on hills and track objects? I'm using Oculus Link with a Quest 2 and have everything (shadows included) set to max. This flickering / completely missing texture load happens no matter what I've tried. For comparison I reloaded Project Cars 2 and it was absolutely fine. Is anyone else having this issue in PC3?

This isn't a framerate issue (have tried a lot of troubleshooting) and my game doesn't crash at all. Just get these weird artifacting / texture flickering issues in PC3. No issues with this in PC1 or PC2.

Same here. I have a 3900x, 1080 Ti, 3600 DDR4, SSD install. Really struggle in VR performance. By contrast, I can keep 90 FPS and under 11 m/s frame times with visually pleasing settings in PC2 (mix of medium to high with low shadows, MSAA med, sharpening).

SteamVR has added fixed framerate settings for VR (mostly for MSFS2020) but I don't want to race PC3 like this.

To clarify, this is specifically about the hard crashes in VR when clicking race whilst on the starting grid.

Myself I have the issue when using my G27 wheel with my index. I have not been able to replicate when using an xbox controller with my index.

Regarding the crash on clicking Race issue, I have just tested it a few times, and like Hookman above, the game does not crash if I change control type to Gamepad.

My wheel is a Simucube 1.

Would my DXdiag and GFX settings still help?
