Hope so Konan, and why would they might change it - if reports from marketing department would suggest, that changing engine to whatever else (arcade in worst scenario) would increase profit from PC4 by 7%, they wouldn't hesitate and just change it. SMS might create games in huge part based on their dreams, EA won't.

Why?Unless, of course, we are talking about a future simulator, which I now doubt.
The indications i've seen are pointing to where they left off with Pc2...

Another why: Why throw everything on casual racing(let's not use arcade anymore), while Simracing is booming? Once under the same roof(Codemasters or even EA) it's wise to also dabble in the sim market. The security of a parent company(which also houses more casual racers) makes that you can bet on Simracing and can even share assets/resources(car models or even tracks) with the more casual race games which makes it much easier to at least break even on a sim and might even make the casual game cheaper to produce as well.

Pc4 should have a casual/ pro switch, not unheard of in racing games. Casual could feel like pc3 and pro similar to pc2.

I'm afraid that won't satisfy all of the fans of the previous titles.
Perhaps it would be better to make two totally independent games. One sucessor of PC2 full sim to compite with ACC and a sucessor of PC3 for more casual racers.
If they try to satisfy all the public with the same game, probably may end up receiving criticism from both sides.
It will be a hard decision to make, but when they do they must be clear in the comunication to avoid disappointing people who expect one thing or another.

Maybe PC4 will unite the simracing community and all the arguments and bickering will stop. Or maybe not, not sure![]()
