    pC3 performance is heavy

I just got pC3 to test and review, however I am really struggling with performance. I know my PC isn't a power house anymore but if I play other Madness engine Sims I can run basically high to max settings and get pretty well solid 60fps at 5760x1080 with triples enabled, but pC3 even at all LOW in down to 35fps at occasion and offer stuttering under 55fps.

I see SMS are still updating pC3 so wondering what the plans are for improving performance back to pC2 or AMS2 levels?

While I'm trying my best to make a honest review on this title, I am struggling to feel what seems may be improvements to the tyre with the fps fluctuations.

I seem to have a lot of people wanting my opinion of pC3 (I'm surprised how many PM's and emails I've had) and I would love for it to be positive, the performance is just making that hard to look past. Please look into this area!

Unfortunately, both of our cards are below minimum specs. But, it doesn't kill the game for me. I can still play in VR decently and pancake mode. In pancake, I do get some frame drops. Usually, due to thunderstorm conditions at the first of a race.

Edit, I see now the triple recommended 2080, lol well I'm 8% below that I guess with my card at stock but I make that up easily with my OC
And it does say 2080 equivalent, is 8% before OC equate to equivalent?

As you see in my edit, 2080 is 8% faster before my OC and it does say 2080 or equivalent. All benchmarks have said 5700xt through to 2080 are basically the same.

So if I have basically an equivalent card why do I need to run everything on low and still get well below 60fps? I should be able to run medium and get a decent result! But I'm on low (literally everything on lowest settings) and getting 35fps at times with 100% GPU usage

As far as I know has the 1080ti more or less the same performance as a 2080.
To bad I didn’t read this before I bought it. I don’t think I’m able to run this game on my 1440p triples..
So it has to be on a single screen. Don’t know if Gonna like this.

Mate this game is heavy!! Unlike AMS2 or pC2....even heavier than ACC!! I'm 7 hrs in and still struggling with settings. I'm only trying for 5760x1080.
Yes you are right, 1080Ti is pretty equal to 5700xt through to 2080 and near 2080 super once overclocked. Shouldn't be a problem for 1080p triples if was optimized well.

Damned, I bought it to quick again. Well I paid “only” €34 but that is €34 to much if I don’t play it. I was happy AI bought it but now I think I will regret it. Or I have to play it on a single screen.

Im doing extensive testing now....will have a opinion in another 12 hours! Unless i feel i can give an honest opinion in less I think 20 hours is long enough to have a proper feel for it, trying as much in that time and not rushing it.

I have to wait untill this weekend. Tomorrow that is. But will definitely test it. I really hope to be able to play it on triples but if that is a no go then a single screen it will be. I’ve played always on a single screen before I got my triple setup so I know you can have a lot of fun on a single screen as well. I must not complain. A whole lot of users do not have the luxury I have. A feel almost ashamed with all my toys in my man cave and in the kitchen as well. So sorry, no complaints from me anymore. Just be happy with what you have.
    Let’s race.....
