Where are the Players

Hello People, a few days ago i bought this Game for a few Euros, and Boy o Boy this Game is incredible. I love Racing Games and this one here delivers big time. Just wow.

Though my Problem is where are the Players ???

I‘m coming from Gt Sport which i played over the past 4 years, and totally forgot that Project Cars 2 was available all the time too.
The typical seems like i‘m late to the Party.
Anyway my question is how small is the Player Base on Console?
I can barely find and Players to Race with.
Is this Game dead on Ps4/5 ?
What a shame…it’s the best i‘ve ever played since PC1 which i played for many years too.

I had a look at the online/multiplayer section just tonight. After reading PirovacBoy's opening post, i was expecting it to be empty and have no activity at all.
But there was around 13 lobbies with a few people in each. While there may not be as many people playing this online as there used to be, there are still people playing.
So it's not completely dead. Just smaller numbers these days.

In fact in the ver late evening times, there is definitely more going on on the servers.
Maybe my own expectations were a bit too high, coming from GTSport.
I‘ve already made some friends with some really cultured drivers. Moreover, I even met a friend again which I hadn’t seen online since 2017. Micbos69, one of my first buddies from Project Cars 1 times. So overall I’d say the player Base is in fact not comparable to GTS, but at least it’s not completely dead. So the hope has been restored

I come on racing my trusty G40 at Bands hatch and sometimes I get one or two and sometimes a full grid.
Still plenty of racing going on in this sim.

I just joined this forum today. Played PC Complete Edition and PC2 (had a hard time with PC2 first go round) Got PC2 Deluxe Edition on dlc for an incredibly low price and really glad I did! So much fun as I know what I'm doing this time. I wanted to see if the community was still active and apparently it is. I also have GTS which I like, but the number of tracks on PC2 is unreal by comparison plus the physics are definitely more challenging. Can't say the same for PC3 which for me was a big letdown, but so be it. Hopefully I can do.some online races in PC2 once I get up to speed.
