I would really like:

Some form of beta testing programme to help ensure stability, especially VR.
Time trials and time trial leader boards.
Some form of free access. Like the most popular FPS shooters. Limited access to features and only invitational / scheduled races.

If it is to succeed as a league racer then the absolute #1 priority is MP stability, both in terms of players joining and leaving, but also in terms of how livetrack is parsed between the players.

And if you want MP to cover all the bases then reliable driver swaps would be great.

And bigger grids.

In terms of the basics "underneath the hood", refine what was already there - which was very good - and keep the nice, logical front-end.

Oh and please please please please PLEASE let us have fully configurable units of measure, not the simplistic "metric or imperial"

And a 'playground' area, sort of like Autocross. That would be damn awesome, both for time-trial addicts but also a bit of fun in multiplayer.

And a 'driver training school' would be cool, like Richard Burns Rally had. It won't appeal to the 'die-hards' but for newcomers, it could take them through the basics of proper car control.

That's my mind just vomiting out a few ideas.
