AI-based Race Crew, Strategy Tool and Pitwall application (complete suite)

    Hello all,

this is almost my first post and I am new to PCars 2 as well. Since I cannot post any HTTP links now, because I am new to this forum, I try to change them, so that the forum software accepts it. Maybe an admin can correct them, so that they are all usable...

I want to share with you the software suite "Simulator Controller", which has been available for any modern sim for almost two years now. And I finally managed to integrate it with Project CARS 2 as well. What is it?

The suite consists of over 10 different applications. The main part are three virtual race assistants, natural language capable chat bots like Alexa or Cortana, which help you during your races. One of them, the Race Engineer can handle all pit stop duties completely on its own, incl. automatic managing of all settings in the ICM. The next, the Race Strategist, will find the best strategy during your race, incl. simulation of possible under- or overcut scenaries. The third is a very sophisticated Spotter.

Beside using voice commands to work with the assistants, you can issue almost any command also via Button Box(es) or the available Stream Deck integration. A graphical editor helps you with the configuration of all that.

Other important tools of the suite are the Strategy Workbench, which can handle full strategy simulations for any type of race:

Or the Race Center, a kind of pitwall application which controls multiplayer team races, but can also be used by a dedicated race engineer team mate during professional league races:

You can get reports for post race analysis:

And there is an expert system for creating car setups based on your description of handling "problems":

This was only a very incomplete overview, there is a lot more to explore. The software is free and Open Source, but you can donate or become a patron, if you find the stuff useful.

New version is online. Major new functionality is the reporting of brake temperatures and brake wear during a session by the Race Engineer. Unfortunately I can stiil post no links, but you will find the download link and a link to the release notes in the post above...

I'm back from the holidays with a huge amount of new features and improvements. Many of the changes revolve around strategy and tire management in changing weather conditions. Among other things, there a many improvements for the Spotter and the Race Strategist can now revise the strategy while you are on the track. The list of changes is too long to even list the most important new features here, so be sure to take a look at the release notes: https://github.com/SeriousOldMan/Sim...release-090222

If you want to support the project, I would be very happy about a membership on Patreon or a donation. You can find the information below.

Today there are many small improvements here and there. Among other things, the spotter now periodically provides information about the lap times of the other cars. He also recognizes rounds in which the opponents had problems, e.g. an off-track.

The release of today extends the functionality of the Spotter with additional information about the direct opponents and the calculations of the distances between the vehicles on the track have been completely revised.

    Other improvements:

    1. The strategy calculations in the "Race Center" now automatically incorporate the current weather in the simulation during a running race.
    2. Thanks to some great work by Chris Matthews, the list of tire compounds in Automobilista 2 is now pretty much complete.
    3. And there is a new preset that can be used to change the behavior of the Push-to-Talk button so that it does not have to be kept pressed while speaking.

Outlook: According to a voting on our Discord, the next step is to build a cloud-enabled database in which the telemetry data can be stored so that all members of a team have easy access to it.
